I am...

R-E-T-I-R-E-D ! ! !  And I am not talking about stamps or accessories... but... ME!!!

(Going along with this year's Convention theme, I am... )

After 21 years and 8 months as a secretary at Knox College -- 9 years in the Library and 12 in the Computer Center -- my last day of work was Friday, April 27th. Woo-Hoo!!! Here are some pics of my retirement party.

First, my calendar that was in my office during my last month.

My cake was absolutely A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!

The baker -- who works with our Food Service Staff -- even put in a tiny bird in a nest.

I also loved the purple balloon...

After my bosses (and gang) heard that the college was out of rocking chairs for their retirees, they decided to imporvise. If you know me, I do not like getting rid of anything, especially some very old chairs at work, even after having our offices remodeled -- at least until the department had money to replace them. So here's what they first brought out for me... note that it even has the Knox emblem on it  :)

But thanks to the extra efforts of our VP for Finance and his secretary... I did recieve the coveted retiree's rocking chair. THANKS SO VERY MUCH!!!  I don't believe anyone else has ever received TWO chairs!  (Ha! Ha!)

Me and my past three bosses...

My farewell poster... since I use post-its quite regularly, they thought it would be cute to have some of my coworkers sign on post-its...

I am... SO VERY HAPPY!!!  No more alarm clocks... early mornings up... do this and that for either of my computer center bosses... keeping up with full-time-working-at-real-job as well as part-time stamping!!!  Woo-Hoo!!!  I do truly look forward to stamping whenever I want now and most of all... having more time to be with my Mikey, my hubby of almost 40 years (who has had to work weekends for the past 2-1/2 years), and our SIX grandSONS!!!

Monday & Wednesday’s Shoe Box Swap is a 3-D Project Swap.  

Tuesday’s Shoe Box Swap is a 3D Card or a Fancy Fold Card -- must be whole cards

What is a Shoe Box Swap? They are pre-cut ready to stamp and assemble kits.

You need to plan kits for 6 people and have 2 of your projects completed; your kits should be ready to hand out -- please have them in individual kits for each person. Your 2 completed projects will be for; your table display for your group to see and the other will go on the table for judging. After judging these projects go to Sherrill Graff your Event Coordinator. Bring a camera... you will want to take lots of pictures!

Wow Demonstrations – Hosted by Tami McCalla

Monday, July 16^th – 7-9pm 

Saturday, July 21^st – 6-8pm 

Wows are demonstrations by other demonstrators. You are divided into groups of no more than 10 and assigned a station number to start, the Wow demonstrations will go in 7 minute intervals and then you will switch to the next station until you have completed all 12 stations. Monday & Saturday’s Wows are different each night.
